Global Outreach

At Central we take Jesus’ Matthew 28 Commission seriously, to “go and make disciples of all nations.”  Because that commission is global in scope, we take a cue from Jesus in Acts 1:8 and partner with individuals and ministries to reach our “Judea” (surrounding geographic area), “Samaria” (surrounding regions), and “ends of the earth” (global outreach) with the good news of Jesus.  Individuals and ministries we partner with include:

Our “Judea”: Central Missionaries in Illinois

Axiom: Axiom is a Christian Campus Fellowship at the University of Illinois (Champaign, IL).

Lincoln Christian University (lincolnchristian.edu): LCU has been preparing Christian Leaders for ministry in the local church, on the mission field, or in parachurch organizations for 70+ years. It is “a transformational community of global difference makers” (Lincoln, IL).

Encounter Campus Ministries (isuencounter.org): Encounter is a campus ministry that strengthens Christian fellowship and encourages Christian growth in students at Illinois State University (Normal, IL).

Rock River Christian Camp (rockrivercc.net): Rock River is a Christian camp that exists to glorify God by impacting all generations for Christ in a natural setting. (Polo, IL).

 

Our “Samaria”: Central Missionaries in Surrounding States

International Conference on Missions (theicom.org): ICOM is a conference that exists to encourage, equip, and enlist workers for the Harvest (Clayton, IN).

Scarlet Hope (scarlethope.org): Scarlet Hope is a ministry that exists to share the love and hope of Jesus Christ with women in the adult entertainment industry. We partner with Amanda Roederer (Assistant Development Director) to bring hope and love to this loveless and dark environment (Louisville, KY).

Soldiers of Christ (soldiersforjesusmc.com): Soldiers for Jesus is an international motorcycle club and brotherhood of Christian bikers. They provide a means for bikers to use their God given gifts to answer God’s call to serve others, witness, and make disciples (Midwest USA).

Christian Horizons All Christian Horizons communities are not-for-profit and faith-based. They range from communities with a single level of care to Life Plan Communities with a full continuum of care. 

The Welcome Network The Welcome Network is a nonprofit mission that welcomes immigrants and refugees to their new homes in the Chicago area.

Our “Ends of the Earth”: Central Missionaries Who Serve Across the Globe

Eastern Dominican Christian Mission (easterndominican.org): Led by Ryan and Erin VandeLinde, EDCM is a mission effort that exists to develop churches in the Dominican Republic, by assisting national workers or indigenous people to lead their own congregations (Dominican Republic).

The London and South-East Bridge (www.twchurchofchrist.wordpress.com): Led by Cliff and Lynn Allen, London Bridge is a mission effort based out of Church of Christ, Tunbridge Wells, that ministers to people in the Tunbridge Wells area (England).

Northern European Evangelism (rksmelser.com): Led by Randy and Katy Smelser, NEE is a mission work that reaches into Peine, Germany through a church plant, personal contacts, and home Bible studies (Germany).

Haitian Christian Outreach (haitianchristian.org): Led by Roro and Gerard Eustache, HCC partners with Haitian Christians to develop disciples for a lasting impact through the continuation of the Gospel. This work, primarily targeting the Port-Au-Prince area, supports a church, educational facilities, and a feeding program (Haiti).

Kagoshima Christian Mission (tenbyten.com/kcm): Led by Walter and Mary Maxey, KCM is focused on sharing the Gospel with the lost in southern Japan; they accomplish this through church planting, English Bible classes, and conducting Christian camps (Japan).

Caroll Fulford & Ministry to Cape Town: Caroll and Martha Fulford are Central missionaries focused on reaching the people of South Africa through church planting (in Summer Greens), prison ministry, and leading Bible studies (in Edgemead and Plattkloof; South Africa).

Lifeline Christian Mission  We support Lifeline on two fronts.  One is through their meal packing ministry.  If you’d like to know more about that, please click this link https://www.centrallive.net/serve/.  We also support Rob McCabe, the mobile meal pack director for Lifeline.
